Danielle' story
I am a Mum of an 18 month old. I had never considered working with a sleep consultant in the past because, frankly I am very frugal and stubborn. I thought I could do this on my own by reading online forums and taking an online sleep course. Or just waiting to see if sleep improved!
While the online training was helpful it did not help me to stick it out when things got tough.
Any time I attempted to sleep train I reverted back to old habits.
By the time I reached out to Jane I had essentially given up. The only hope I had was that perhaps Jane could reduce the wake ups down to 1 or 2 a night. Little did I know that my son would be sleeping through the night after 5 days!
The two main things that made a difference for me was that I was now accountable to Jane and motivated. The last thing I wanted to do was to go back to Jane and say I had caved during the night! Also, the cost. I did not want to waste the time I had for the sleep support by not committing 100%.

Since night 5 my son has been sleeping from 7pm to 6am. I no longer have to dread leaving him after the sleeping routine. He no longer stands up in his cot screaming at the top of his lungs needing us to comfort him back to sleep.
I can now leave him immediately after our 20 min bedtime routine, he self soothes and falls asleep with zero crying. He also self soothes and goes back to sleep if he wakes during the night.
I would definitely recommend working with Jane to any sleep deprived parents. As long as you are consistent and completely committed I have no doubt your child will be sleeping by the end of the sleep coaching.
The coaching does not involve any leaving the baby to cry it out as you will be shown how to calmly teach you baby to sleep independently.

Working with Jane was 100% worth it for me. I only wish I had done it sooner.

Livia's story
I was breast feeding our eight month old baby to sleep every night, when my husband and I went to sleep.
This meant that we had no time to ourselves in the evenings. It was also tricky putting our other children to sleep, as we had to juggle getting them ready and reading to them with watching the baby.

We asked Jane for help and everything changed. She explained that we could put the baby to bed much earlier, without it meaning that she would wake up at a crazy time in the morning (which had been my worry). She also taught us how to settle the baby without feeding, meaning my husband could put her to bed.
Everything is so much easier now as the baby sleeps from 7pm to 7am, with only one night feed. This gives us time to spend with our other children and everything is a lot more relaxed.

It also means I can go out with my friends in the evening, something I was definitely missing.
If you've been put off sleep training in the past because you worry it might upset your baby, then try Jane. It's such a gentle approach. She's a lovely person to chat to too!

Meseret's story
I already knew Jane from before, as she was the mother of one of my former students. I remember her as a very kind and caring person even back then. In her role as a sleep coach, I quickly developed trust in her and felt well-supported.

Our main goals were to help our son learn to fall asleep in his own bed and to have longer sleep phases. At that time, he was still being nursed in the evenings, which meant he would wake up regularly and sometimes nurse all night. There was even a close call where he almost rolled out of the bed, but my motherly instincts kicked in just in time.
​
For these reasons, we decided to adjust his sleeping arrangements. It was important to me that we continue nursing, though on a more limited basis. Jane was wonderful at accommodating all of our wishes. After the first night, I sat across from her with tears in my eyes, and she did a great job of reassuring me and motivating me to keep going, reminding me that this was helping both my son and myself. After that first challenging week, we started to see the results of our efforts. I never would have believed it possible at the time, but our little one managed to sleep five hours straight.

There were occasional setbacks, which we were prepared for. But with Jane's help, we ultimately developed a better understanding of our child’s sleep and learned how to confidently support him in sleeping on his own.
